Kindergarten Stars
Mrs. Dugal's students make these stars after learning about different types of lines and how to draw a star. They drew lines with crayon, painted over their lines in watercolor, and added a paper star to complete these works.
Kindergarten Mouse Paint
Mrs. Reed's class learned about the primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and used their fingers as little mouse feet to mix them together to make these artworks.
Kindergarten ABCs
Mrs. Swain's class practiced writing their ABCs and learned how to use watercolors while making these works of art.
1st Grade Water Lilies
Miss Barron's class learned about the water lily paintings of Claude Monet, warm and cool colors, and color mixing while creating these multi-media works.
1st Grade Warm/Cool Hands
Mrs. Dickey's class learned the warm (red, yellow, orange) and cool (blue, green, violet) colors and colored around their hands for these artworks.
1st Grade Organic Monsters
Mrs. Nichols students learned about organic and geometric shapes while creating their own organic monsters.
2nd Grade Birds
Mrs. Chavarie's second graders learned how to draw birds like American Artist, Charley Harper.
2nd Grade Chinese Characters
Mrs. Hartwell's second graders made these Chinese Character Color Slat Books after practicing the Chinese characters for color names. *The last three were done by our remote students, who drew pictures for each color after practicing the characters.
2nd Grade Selfie-Surprise
Mrs. Juskewitch's second grade class made these self portraits two ways - one with a mask on and one with their mask off.
3rd Grade Cake Sculptures
Mrs. Christopher's third grade class decorated these three-dimensional cakes and plates after folding their sculpture out of paper. This was the final project in our Wayne Thiebaud "Cakes and Pies" unit. Some of these are works in progress and will be updated.
3rd Grade Cake Drawings
Mrs. Ouellette's third graders learned how to draw a cake using three-dimensional shapes. They also viewed the artwork of American painter Wayne Thiebaud, who is famous for his paintings of cakes and pies.
3rd Grade Snowflake Color Wheels
Mrs. Smith's third graders combined their learning about drawing snowflakes and the color wheel to make these artworks.
4th Grade Alebrijes
Mrs. Dean's students finished these clay Alebrijes they began almost a year ago in third grade!
4th Grade Uphues Hearts
Mr. Leimbach's class learned about street artist, Chris Uphues, and created these hearts that appreciate his work.
Life Skills
Mrs. Sirois' students made these printed and painted works of art using their names and first initials.
